United
Nations Secretary-General Mr. Ban Ki-Moon on wednesday strongly frowned at
Tuesday’s manslaughter of dozens of students at the Federal Government College,
Buni Yadi in Yobe State, by unidentified gunmen.
In a
statement, his spokesman said Mr. Banki Moon expressed his sincere condolences
to the bereaved families and hoped that the perpetrators will be swiftly
brought to justice.
“The
Secretary-General is deeply concerned about the increasing frequency and
brutality of attacks against educational institutions in the north of the
country,” the statement said. “He reiterates that no objective can
justify such violence.”
