Some suspected members of Boko Haram
terrorist sect attacked a number of villages in Madagali and Michika LGAs
in Adamawa State last night.
Chairman of
Madagali LGA, Maina Ularamu, confirmed the incident. According to him, the
gunmen first attacked Kirchiga Village before entering Shuwa town, one of the
border towns between Borno and Adamawa states in northeast Nigeria.
Sporadical
shooting started at about 8 p.m.; the casualties' figure is yet to be
determined. Latest unconfirmed reports suggest a bank and a police have been
set on fire.
