Zenith Bank Boss As The New CBN Governor

The members of the senate has confirmed the appointment of Zenith Bank boss Emefiele Godwin as the new CBN Governor. He will replace Lamido Sanusi, who was suspended by President Goodluck Jonathan on charges of “financial recklessness and misconduct”.
Senate president David Mark said:
"Emefiele will ensure the prerequisite responsibilities of the central bank governor without fear or favour."
It would be recalled that Sanusi was suspended soon after he had accused the state-owned oil company of corruption, which statement contained in the leaked letter.
His suspension came just several months before the legal end of his 5-year-term (June).
