OYO STATE: The Okeho Magistrates’ Court had
remanded two teenagers for allegedly defiling a 12-year-old girl.

Sunday, 19 and Teruwa Tarushi, 18, were ordered by the Chief Magistrate, Mrs
Abiola Richard to be remanded in prison custody pending the receipt of
legal advice from the Directorate of Public Prosecution (DPP).
According to the Prosecutor, Cpl. Friday Sule
who told the court that the offence was committed on March 3 at Akinlabi
Village in Okeho area of Oyo State.
The Prosecutor said that Sunday and Tarushi
who were living in the same house with the parents of the victim. They forcefully
had canal knowledge of the girl when others were away.
The prosecutor said that the offence was contrary
to and punishable under sections 516 and 218 of the Criminal Code Laws of Oyo
State, 2000.
However the two teenagers pleas were not granted
while the Chief Magistrate adjourned the matter till Thursday for mention.
